Working together proves to be a real success...


The idm Group and one of its key clients, The Kier Group, are delighted to announce that they have received two National Training Awards for their collaborative approach to Director Development

The Kier Programme,which is aimed at the Group’s Directors and Senior Managers, won the regional East of England Training Award, and the national UK Training Award for the large organisation category. “The idm Group” contributes the ‘Director Responsibilities’ and ‘Strategic Decision Making’ modules to the Kier Programme, and together they deliver Kier’s award-winning approach.

Over 100 of Kier’s most senior Executives have participated in the Development Programme to date, marking a substantial investment by the construction industry giant in its Director capability.The idm Group’s Director of Executive Development, Alan Shaw, says “We are very pleased for the team at Kier. The firm takes the development of its senior teams very seriously and the national recognition this award brings is much deserved. We are delighted to be a part of it.”

The award ceremony took place in Cambridge last month, with athlete-turned-broadcaster, Colin Jackson, making the presentations. The presentation was attended by the idm group’s Associate Director, Dr Simon Haslam, who runs the Strategic Business Direction module on the Kier Programme.
