The idm Group would like to congratulate Alan Shaw, Director of the group’s Director Development Services, for being part of the winning team at the 2008 Newark Business Awards.


Through his role as Non-Executive Director with MHI Fellows Hallatt, a leading firm of architects, civil and structural engineers, and project managers, Alan has supported the company in winning the ‘Innovation Through Technology’, ‘Workforce Development’ and ‘Business of the Year’ Awards.

Client confidence in MHI is strong due to the high quality of the company’s designs and the organisation has benefited directly from the raising of its profile through the attainment of these awards. Alan comments, “We are delighted to have won these awards as recognition of the hard work and outstanding achievements that we have made; full recognition goes to the commitment the team has put in to achieving this goal."

Alan is a highly experienced Director who has worked with many private and public sector organisations to create significant impact upon performance, team working, culture, structure and attitude. In addition to his key role with The idm Group and Non-Executive Director position with MHI, Alan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Non-Executive Director for two other small to medium sized businesses, to which he has brought clear strategic challenge and sound business experience.
