Whilst the Chairman has overall responsibility for the leadership of the Board, there may be times when some external support or challenge is required to ensure the Board is working effectively.

idm utilises a specialist team of experienced Directors/ Facilitators to work collaboratively with the Board and help it achieve its desired outcomes.

Key areas for facilitation may include:

  • Supporting the set up of new Boards/sub-Boards
  • Refocusing existing Boards on their key role to direct the organisationīs affairs
  • Identifying key issues facing the Board and supporting Directors to address these
  • Enabling Board members to think more strategically
  • Challenging dynamics and relationships to help Board members work more cohesively
  • Provision of objectivity to meetings
