Board Review

....reflections on governance

Following the recommendations of the Combined Code 2003 and the updated Companies Act 2006, the Board of a FTSE 250 Company is required to "undertake a formal and rigorous annual evaluation of its own performance and that of its committees and individual directors". As large organisations are therefore now obligated to officially report on the effectiveness of their Boards, it is also considered good practice for all organisations to conduct regular Board reviews.

Working with organisations with main Boards of at least 3 Directors, idm offers an independent and objective evaluation of Board effectiveness, based on best practice standards for Corporate Governance.

Boards will benefit from:

  • Improved performance;
  • Improved decision making;
  • Broadened or sharpened focus;
  • Improved Board composition and succession;
  • Enhanced director credibility;
  • Improved director accountability.

idmīs Review Team comprises experienced, qualified Directors who thoroughly understand effective Corporate Governance and best practice standards for Boards.
