Alan has worked at Board level for over 20 years, mainly in the public sector at as non-executive chairman, although as a change consultant he has worked with a wide variety of companies and organizations in financial services, pharmaceuticals, higher education, automotives, distribution, retail, utilities and UK-based companies with overseas subsidiaries..

He has represented UK Ltd in Canada, working with blue chip companies to secure major defence contracts. Utilising his acknowledged coaching-mentoring skills, he has supported senior executives and board members to meet the challenges presented by their roles and their organisations, and to fulfil their potential through personal development. He has assisted clients to think and plan strategically and to improve their contribution to the leadership of their organisations and to create incentives and operational environments in which managers and staff have been able to meet their financial and corporate imperatives.He gives clients the space in which to test out ideas in a benign environment and encourages them to increase their learning..
